Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology are given a donation to improve child literacy.

Facebook founder and Harvard dropout Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, announce they are donating $30 million to the schools to launch the Reach Every Reader program. Its purpose is to use education, science, and technology to enable all children to read at grade level by the third grade.
